When water is pouring through a ceiling, the last thing you need is a voicemail. Our emergency line is answered by a working plumber who can talk you through shutting off the mains while the van is already on its way.
What happens when you call
- We ask three questions: where is the water coming from, is the mains off, and is anyone in danger.
- We quote the callout fee and give you an arrival time.
- The plumber isolates the fault, makes it safe and stops the damage.
- We repair on the spot if we can, or make it safe and book the return.
Insurance claims
We photograph everything and issue a report that insurers accept. Many of our emergency callouts end up as insurance claims, and a clean report from a registered plumber speeds them up considerably.
Questions we get asked
What counts as an emergency?
Anything that is actively causing damage or leaving you without water or sanitation. Burst pipes, a geyser overflow, a blocked sewer backing up into the house, or a gas smell. If in doubt, phone and we will tell you honestly whether it can wait.
Do you charge more after hours?
Yes. The after-hours callout fee is higher than daytime, and we tell you the exact number before we dispatch anyone. There are no surprises on the invoice.
Will you fix it on the first visit?
In most cases yes. Our vans carry the common geyser, valve and pipe fittings. Where a part has to be ordered, we make the fault safe first and give you a firm return date.
